The latest entry for our blog at work, Oliroth. I haven't drawn my Original Characters in ages and felt they were due for an update. They don't usually dress like that, but meh, no matter.

This morning I ate a Bagel

And it was delicious. Sorry for the MIA. I've recently moved to Montreal to work at a gaming studio as a 2D Artist/Character Designer. I absolutely love my job and it's everything I thought it would be =D. Here are a few doodles I've done a while ago but just didn't have the time to up till now. Busy busy! The top one is a witch and the bottom ones are just dogs I've seen in my neighbourhood. Col erase.

8D!

This is my dog, his name is Browny. He is big and round and is the best est dog in the world. Yesterday someone in my neighborhood set off some fireworks and that scared the dog, so he hid under my bed. In order to get him out, we pretended that there was someone at the door, but instead of leaving the underbed, he just started barking in the direction of the door. My, Hero =D!

Zoo Round 2!

So, I was courteously invited to the first year's Zoo Trip by the wonderful Cathy. It was a lot of fun, and the animals were actually a bit more active. Still cleaning up some more, but these go up for now.

Uhhh

There's no reason behind this other than I was home for more than 3 hours hahaha. He's a little unfinished, but we'll see how much progress I make on it when I have time.

Trying my hand at some more TV-ish character designs. I'm torn between the bird's older design and this one, but I ended up finishing this one, so it gets to go up.

Garbage Takers

Did this quickly the other day and forgot about it lol. Talking to a friend about raccoons and did these up. They take your garbage.... evil little critters. Photoshop.

A short, Action Analysis I'm doing. It's sort of random, but at the moment I like it. Still lots of clean up to do. Flash for the animation, photoshop for the BG, SAI for the characters.

It's the Weirdest thing...

I just suddenly stopped posting anything up here. Not a habit I want to kick. So these are...something. I thought them up while waiting for miss Cathy and miss Cintia at a Chapters. They're native american, or something.... Cleaned up with SAI and colored in photoshop.

I got this idea from watching Malcolm in the Middle....It was so random. Col Erase, Pit Oil clean up, the usual dish.

Goth-ic-pro-ject

Designs for a Story I came up with a while ago. It involves shadow monsters and evil spirits =D. Always a fun time. Col Erase, and Pit oil pencils.

In your Imagination, it can be Real!

An old Idea i decided to try another pass at. A boy with too much imagination is bound to have an imaginary friend =D. Col Erase, Pit Oil, and Photoshop clean up. I randomely made a new brush and, although it wasn't what I had intended, the result was good =).

His name is Mr Morris

And he is a Cat. Design for an animation I want to do in flash. Teaching myself tricks with the Bone tool. I love that thing. Based off Cathy's cat Morris. He has a facebook page. He is mighty >=D. Col Erase with pit oil finish. Pen for the doodles.

Elorah Revisited

Went through older sketchbooks and redid some ideas. This was a 4th year film idea I scrapped, but still liked =D. Changed the story a bit and retried the designs. Col erase with pit oil clean up. Colored in Photoshop.

Hey Laddeh!

Today I visited some studios in Toronto. Bitcasters/Social Gaming Universe and Little Guy Games! Both places were a lot of fun and super informative. Got my art batteries recharged and decided to do this quickly while watching some TV. Total time is......under 45 min? hahaha. Col erase, marker, copics and my foxy brown paper sketchbook lol.

Just a quick drawing I did when I was at the ROM a few days ago. Tried to design stuff based off the stuffed animals there. I have more, but not fully cleaned up yet. Col erase+Pit Oil+photoshop.

An Old idea I cleaned up recently. I'm also trying to see how many puns I can sneak in here before someone shoots me point blanc. Not at all inspired by the K-OS song....I swear.... Pencil on pencil action.

La Chienne

I thought that since the farmer have sheep, they should have a sheep dog. Right?....Logic. I couldn't decide on a color scheme for her so I just did a few. I'm currently designing some of the farm animals and it's a lot more fun then developing the main character right now haha. Sooo, pencil, and photoshop. Comments, criticisms and nice words all welcomed =D.

Fermiers

These are secondary characters, the farmer and his wife (for that short that I am not actually doing, just conceptualizing lol) So the Idea was that this couple was terrorized by a fox who constantly killing their live stock. I'll draw up the main character in a bit. This is, photoshop and pencils. Clean up's a little rough, but I like it. Advice, comments, criticisms, all welcomed!
